  • Gokukuji Temple is a Buddhist temple that is the Imperial Mausoleum.  Gokoku-ji is responsible for the Japanese tea ceremonies in all of Japan’s temples.

  • Kodokan Judo Institute is the headquarters for Judo.  It was established by the founder of Judo (Jigogo kano) in 1882.  The institute offers classes with courses covering theory and practice of Judo.
  • Koishikawa Korakuen Garden was constructed in the early Edo period.  The garden is strongly influenced by Chinese gardens and was designated as a special place of scenic beauty and a historic site of Japan. 
  • Tokyo Dome City is an entertainment complex that includes a covered baseball stadium, an amusement park and Korakuen Hall (a famous arena that features many basketball, American football, boxing, wrestling and martial arts matches).

  • Tokyo Cathedral is the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese in Tokyo.  The original structure was built in 1899 in Gothic style.  Following its destruction in World War II, the present Cathedral was built in 1964.

  • Yushima Seido was constructed as a Confucian temple in 1630.  It was originally built in Ueno Park; however it was moved to its current location in 1690.  The building has been destroyed and rebuilt on several occasions due to fire and earthquake damage.
